What partnership means to...

Habitat families: Habitat families partner with Habitat volunteers by committing to put in 300 - 500 hours of work building the home, or "sweat equity." Habitat homes are not "give away" homes. Habitat families make monthly mortgage payments, so they need to meet the required financial income guidelines.

Habitat affiliate: Habitat for Humanity provides home ownership opportunities for low-income families. Working under the faith-based principle that no profit should be gained from assisting those in need, Habitat for Humanity charges no interest on the homes that it sells.
