Each year, after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we celebrate GivingTuesday. GivingTuesday, taking place November 30th, 2021, is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Every year, on GivingTuesday, millions of people across the globe (almost 60 countries) mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day and touches every person on the planet.
We’re thrilled to join thousands of organizations across the globe participating in the largest giving day of the year. Our goal is to be able to complete more Home Repair projects in 2020 than ever before—It’ll be a group effort to get there, but the impact your donations will have is incredible. Our Home Repair Program opportunities span Burnett, Polk, Rusk and Washburn counties. The Home Repair Program works in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity, enabling them to serve more families and increase opportunities for volunteers. Most importantly, the Home Repair Program is part of Habitat’s broader community development strategy called the Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative (NRI). NRI is designed to carry out Habitat for Humanity’s strategic imperative of helping to transform and strengthen communities so that those who reside in them will be able to live and grow into all that God intends for them.
We joined GivingTuesday in order to become a part of the global effort of giving. Collaboration and partnership drives every part of our mission to to eliminate poverty housing. This year, rather than just asking for donations on GivingTuesday, we also want to give something back! And so, we invite you to join us for our Attitude of Gratitude campaign.
We could not positively impact the lives of our neighbors in the counties we serve without our outstanding network of partners, and that is why throughout the day on GivingTuesday we will be sharing stories and giving thanks for the dedication and commitment to working with Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity to create strong and stable communities through shelter.
Join our movement this GivingTuesday by helping us raise money to put God's love into action by building homes, communities, and hope. Then, spread an attitude of gratitude! Like our Facebook page to see all of the inspirational and heart-warming stories that will be posted on GivingTuesday!
