Eligibility

Are you unable to obtain a conventional home loan?
Is your current rental home too expensive for you, overcrowded or in disrepair?
Have you lived and worked in Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Price, Polk, Taylor, Rusk or Washburn County for at least a year?
Are you willing to help build a new home alongside volunteers?
Are you able to make monthly mortgage and escrow payments?
Is your credit score at least 580?

HOMEOWNERSHIP ENROLLMENT is OPEN

We are currently searching for families and individuals who have an interest in owning a Habitat home in our service area. Anyone is welcome to apply, although there are minimum income and credit guidelines. Successful applicants re-pay a zero to low-interest mortgage, property taxes and house insurance. We provide you with the education and support to be successful in your homebuying journey, and can help you build a home you love with a mortgage you can afford.
